Step 1: Create Clicker Questions

  1. Watch Instructional Video: View Video (Run time is approx. 13 min)

  2. Practice Simulation: Launch Simulation

  3. Hands-On Application: Using TurningPoint 5 on your computer, open an existing PowerPoint presentation and insert 3 question slides which include a countdown timer and a correct answer indicator.  Save this file to your computer desktop as Clicker_Training_lastname.ppt

Step 2: Conduct a Polling Session

  1. Watch Instructional Video: View Video (Run time is approx. 9 min)

  2. Practice Simulation: Launch Simulation

  3. Hands-On Application: Using your TurningPoint presentation that you just created in Objective 1, practice running through your slide(s) using the simulated mode in TurningPoint.  Practice launching the countdown timer and correct answer indicator.  Leave your file open after the run-through so that you can save the session file in the next step.

Step 3: Save Results

  1. Watch Instructional Video: View Video (Run time is approx. 4 min)

  2. Practice Simulation: Launch Simulation

  3. Hands-On Application: After having gathered your simulated data, save the session file to your computer or flash drive as Clicker_Training_Session_lastname

Step 4: Create Reports

  1. Watch Instructional Video: View Video (Run time is approx. 4 min)

  2. Practice Simulation: Launch Simulation

  3. Hands-On Application: Using your saved session file, Clicker_Training_Session_lastname, run a results by participant report and save the report to your computer or flash drive as Clicker_Training_Report_lastname
